As many fans of this popular band, who have been together for a decade, know, their amazing keyboardist, Dave Conley, came far too close last December when a somewhat normal medical check proved to be very scary. He has immediately scheduled for open heart surgery and had a triple bypass, which reroutes blood around three blocked areas in your coronary (heart) arteries. A surgeon moves blood vessels from elsewhere in your body to your heart. This allows blood to flow through open blood vessels instead of trying to move through blocked ones. Thankfully his surgery went very well and he was released from the hospital much earlier than normal. His recovery went equally well and he spent his time practicing and learning his new keyboard. The Shadowz had to take a couple of months off until Dave was able to return, but now he’s back even heathier and stronger. His many fans are thrilled.
