Zwick Centennial Park

Zwick’s Centennial Park boasts scenic picnic spaces, soccer fields, and a playground for the youngsters in your family. This is also a popular spot for wedding photos or even outdoor weddings. Zwick’s Park is located just west of the Downtown core. Zwick’s Trails run throughout the park and almost connect to the Riverfront Trail (a small bridge and stretch of Dundas Street West separate them). Zwick’s is easily accessible by bike or foot from downtown.

Glanmore National Historic Site

Discover Belleville’s Treasure: Glanmore National Historic Site. This grand Victorian mansion serves as both a historic house and community museum. It was built in 1883 for prominent Belleville Banker John Philpot Curran Phillips and his wife Harriet. Glanmore was designated a National Historic Site for its exceptional 2nd Empire style architecture. The historic house has had extensive restoration. The museum exhibits artifacts original to the historic house as well as fine art and decorative objects from the Couldery collection and artifacts that are significant to local history from the Regional collection. The museum is open-year round.

Vanderwater Conservation Area

The 257 hectare (635 acre) Vanderwater Conservation Area is located 3 km east of Thomasburg off Highway 37, at 512 Vanderwater Road. This lovely outdoor spot is picturesquely located along the banks of the Moira River, where the water cascades over a series of limestone steps. The 15 km of trails explore a wide range of natural environments from mature cedar forests in the low lying areas to hardwood and coniferous forests that cover the slopes and high ground. The Conservation Area is a popular destination each winter for cross-country skiers. A steep ridge runs the length of the property and several spots along the trails afford a scenic view of the land towards the west. Ski trails are not groomed.

H.R. Frink Outdoor Education Centre

The H.R. Frink Conservation Area at 381 and 384 Thrasher Road, Plainfield ON, has hiking trails on the north side and south side of Thrasher Road for a total of 12 km of trails. The north side of the area contains an education centre where outdoor education programs are delivered by local school boards as well as Quinte Conservation. The north side features a network of forested trails leading visitors along the Moira River, around a silver maple swamp, through a mature hardwood forest, and to Parks Creek. The south side of the area contains several more kilometers of trails, including the popular Wetland Ecology Boardwalk. A graveled trail can be found leading from the parking lot to the wetland boardwalk for ease of access throughout the year.

Public parking for this area is located on the south side of Thrasher Road.

West Riverside Park

This park is conveniently located a short distance from Highway 401 and is the beginning of the Riverside Park Trail. Here you’ll find the popular Pirate Ship play structure. Yes, it is exactly that, a beautiful playground in the shape of a pirate ship. Just north of the playground, you will find the Rotary Music Garden with a fully accessible assortment of outdoor instruments ranging from bells to a xylophone. Perfect for kids of all ages! Need to cool off from the heat and all the running and climbing? Perfect time to enjoy the Riverside Splash Pad. Have an action sports lover? Challenge yourself on rails, ramps, jumps and a full bowl at the Kiwanis Skateboard Park, perfect for every skateboard, BMX or scooter lover. Or, grab your mountain bike and take a ride through the riverside bike trail; nestled away in a patch of forest is a fully groomed trail with banks, straightaways and small obstacles. Perfect for all levels of riders. There are also picnic areas available at this location.

Church of St. Michael the Archangel

St. Michael the Archangel Church is the oldest Roman Catholic Parish in Belleville and has a vibrant community of some three thousand members and adherents. It has many active programs and interests for children, youth, men’s fellowship, Bible studies and is also active in St. Andrew School of Evangelization, having been instrumental in bringing the School to Canada.
