Tough economy hits retail chain

All 54 Canadian Bed Bath and Beyond stores will be closing this year.

That will include the store in a plaza located at 366 North Front Street at Bell Boulevard in Belleville.

The Bed Bath and Beyond Group has been losing money since 2018.

The closures will mean the loss of 387 full-time and 1,038 part-time jobs.
