For over 32 years, Trenval Business Development Corporation has been reliable support for local Bay of Quinte businesses, helping with start-up, expansions and successions. Trenval is a non-for-profit community futures development corporation that is federally supported and administered by a volunteer board of directors.

In partnership with the Federal Economic Agency for Southern Ontario, Trenval is committed to helping develop and diversify local economies through strategic community planning, business information, counselling and investing in small businesses.

Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Trenval has continued to support small business owners in the Quinte Region, with shopping local being more important to the community than ever before.

Trenval has been providing local businesses with financial support through the federal Regional Relief and Recovery Fund and helping small businesses to navigate through the impacts of the COVID-19 second wave and prepare for a strong recovery.

Most recently, the team at Trenval is announcing BizQuest Quinte, a new and exciting video contest for locally-owned businesses in Belleville, Quinte, Stirling-Rawdon, Tyendinaga Township and the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, and Deseronto.

Locally-owned businesses in the Quinte Region are encouraged to enter the BizQuest Quinte video contest for a chance to win cash and prizes.

By submitting a short one to two-minute video about their business, participants can win over $25,000 in prizes.

Videos can be submitted from January 14th to February 4th, and a panel of community volunteers will select five finalists from three different categories: Start, Grow and Thrive.

Beginning February 18th until March 4th, the public will be asked to vote on one winner from the five finalists in the three submission categories.

On March 9th, the three winners of each category will be announced during a presentation event.
